Transfer of Business
SKORPIOS CHARTER, founded in 1986 as a German-Greek family business by Herbert Lerchl and Joanna Papalexopoulou, is one of the pioneers of yacht charter in the Ionian Sea. Now the time has come for the two owners to step back and hand over the business to a new ownership. From January 2024, the company will have new professional successors. A also German-Greek business partnership that wants to continue the successful course of the company and bring a breath of fresh air to the sails of SKORPIOS CHARTER.
The new company owners, Vassilis Tsinteris and Ulrich Kilp, both technically experienced, long-standing sailors will manage the fortunes of SKORPIOS CHARTER in the future. Vasilis Tsinteris, already known since many years to our regular customers as a reliable base manager, was born in Greece and speaks fluent German and English thanks to his university time in Germany. Ulrich Klip, a certified appraiser expert and passionate sailor in the Ionian Sea for decades, has been involved in the company already for more than 15 years with his yachts.
Both are ensuring that the yachts are in perfect condition from 2024 and that you can enjoy futhermore a save and unforgettable sailing holiday us.
We are looking forward to seeing soon at the pontoon of SKORPIOS CHARTER in Nydri.

Time to say goodbye !
Dear Sailing Friends,
We, Herbert Lerchl and Joanna Papalexopoulou, the founders of SKORPIOS CHARTER, recently retired and have sold the company.
We would like to thank you for the trust you placed in us over the years. Building up and running this company was a fulfilling challenge that we enjoyed immensely. It has been a great pleasure to know that we have been able to help many people enjoy a great sailing holiday and exciting new experiences.
We will miss our wonderful team, many of whom have been with the company for so many years and became friends. Without their help, it would not have been possible to run the firm and we would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to them for their support and commitment during all those years.
We wish the new owners all the very best for the future of the company.
See you all again in Nydri.
